Hatis Noit - Aura Reworks (2025) [Hi-Res]

Japanese vocal performer Hatis Noit has released the album "Aura Reworks," a collection of remixes from her 2022 debut record. Prominent artists from various genres were invited to work on the project, including ambient pioneer Laraaji, hip-hop duo Armand Hammer, avant-garde composer William Basinski, and producer Matthew Herbert.

The album offers a unique reinterpretation of Hatis Noit's vocal art. It combines meditative soundscapes with shamanic dance rhythms, intertwines prehistoric Japanese motifs with New York rap, and shifts from glitch experiments to deep, contemplative compositions. A standout track is William Basinski's rework of "Inori," which features a field recording of the ocean off the coast of Fukushima, lending emotional depth to the music as a tribute to the 2011 tragedy. This album serves as a bridge between cultures, eras, and sonic worlds, all united by the unique voice of Hatis Noit.
