Kevin Reveyrand - Extended Minimalism, Vol. 1 (2025) [Hi-Res]

A man of adventure, Kevin Reveyrand offers his imagination an unexpected and rarely frequented playground. For his fifth opus, he thus combines the polymorphic discourse of his bass guitar with a set of instruments also evolving in the lower frequencies: tuba, cello and baritone saxophone. The challenge is considerable and one could have feared a sound environment bogged down in the low frequencies; instead, we discover a world of harmony and finesse that owes its cohesion to the sharp pen of a true composer. Kevin Reveyrand's writing continues to assert itself, it defines a world nourished by influences that hardly concerns itself with questions of style, but never lacks them. For years, expanding the possibilities of his instrument, Kevin has made it his daily routine to work on his works solo, trying to make melody, harmony and rhythm heard simultaneously on the four strings of his bass guitar.
