The recording was captured by Mikey Coltun during a visit to the local music school, ‘Sabou-Gnouman De Kita’, alongside griot and master ngoni player Cheick Hamala Diabate. Recorded over a single evening, the album captures a heartfelt and energetic performance by the most talented local musicians, showcasing the rich musical traditions of this West African region.
