This album is the original soundtrack composed by Swedish composer Hans Ek for the six-part drama series "Trolösa" ("Faithless"). The series is a modern adaptation of the screenplay by the legendary Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, which also formed the basis for the 2000 film of the same name, directed by Liv Ullmann.

The new version is directed by Tomas Alfredson, known for his work on "Let the Right One In" and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy". The series explores a complex story of love, infidelity, and its long-term consequences for two families. Hans Ek's music plays a key role in conveying the emotional tension and delicate psychological states of the characters, balancing the narrative's drama and subtlety.
