Norma Dream is a dream folk sextet from Massachusetts, built around the songwriting and masterful banjo playing of Norma Jean Haynes. Their debut studio album, "Mercy Drops," is a meditation on "mercy drops"—small moments of grace during difficult times. Inspired by a love story in Corsica, the album uses the language of American folk music to explore themes of love. Combining traditional instruments like banjo, fiddle, and cello with a full ensemble, the band creates a sound that is both poignant and playful, described as a love letter to a summer that has just ended.
