Mark Allen Scott, performing under the name Villagerrr, is a prolific indie-rock musician from Ohio whose work is imbued with the atmosphere of the American Midwest and a light country influence ("twang"). His fourth album, "Tear Your Heart Out," focuses on reflecting on quiet, everyday moments, as well as complex interpersonal relationships, pain, forgiveness, and self-discovery. Starting as a solo project in 2022, Scott quickly established himself as one of the most notable young songwriters due to his ability to give the mundane a disarming emotional clarity.
