An instrumental band that took the world by storm with a single song, "Tequila," their debut in 1958. This is the long-awaited CD release of their memorable first album. The Champs were formed by West Coast session musicians and released their first instrumental number in 1958, "Tequila," about a Mexican liquor. That debut song was suddenly number one. The album is filled with giddy dance numbers created by the six-piece instrumental band, which includes a tenor saxophone, two guitars, piano, bass, and drums. Their unique Latin-flavored songs have been covered and loved by many bands to this day, and were even used as a cheering song for the Japanese baseball team in 2009. This long-awaited CD release includes their first album "Go Champs Go" plus three of their most popular songs and smash hits.
