Kevin Yosua Big 6 - The Great Indonesian Songbook, Vol. 1 (2025) [Hi-Res]

On October 10, 2025, the record label Silver 7 Records will release the jazz album "The Great Indonesian Songbook Vol. 1." The project features modern jazz interpretations of works by classic Indonesian composers Ismail Marzuki, Iskandar, and Is Haryanto. The idea, initiated by producer Bagas Indyatmono, is to introduce the nation's musical heritage to a younger generation. The album was recorded by the sextet Kevin Yosua Big 6, led by double bassist Kevin Yosua, and features leading jazz musicians and several guest vocalists, including Tompi. A new arrangement of the song "Aryati" serves as the album's lead track.
