The Tokyo Cuban Boys - Echoes of Japan (2024)

The Tokyo Cuban Boys, led by Tadaaki Misago, opened new musical perspectives by fusing Japanese melodies and min’yo folk songs with Latin beats such as rumba, mambo, and cha-cha-cha. This album, Echoes of Japan, released by King Records in 1958 and full of oriental exotica sound, is one of the earliest works of Japan's longest running Latin big band.
