In 2020, Manu and Pierrot, former founders of the band La Ruda Salska, formed a new group called Villa Fantôme. Their 2022 debut album was critically acclaimed, and their subsequent album, Seconde Zone, has solidified their unique position on the French music scene. Accompanied by four musicians, the band performs a mix of ska, rock, rocksteady, and post-punk, creating a bold and elegant cinematic sound with polished French lyrics. Despite the album's title, which translates to "Second Rate," the collective's talent is recognized as first-class.
