According to Martha Reeves of Martha & The Vandellas, the Marvelettes were a great girl group that "paved the way for the women of Motown. The Marvelettes' fourth studio album is now happily reissued! The Marvelettes were backed up by the core of Motown, including Berry Gordy, Brian Holland, Ramon Dodger, and Micky Stevenson, and two songs were contributed by Norman Whitfield, who was still young at the time. The album is a masterpiece that combines the fun and flamboyant Motown sound with the cuteness and sweet-sourness that only a girl in her late teens could bring out, with the addition of four bonus singles not included on the album.
