Divanhana - Radio Sevdah (2025) [Hi-Res]

The Sarajevo-based band Divanhana, which performs traditional Bosnian Sevdah music, has released its sixth album, "Radio Sevdah." The album is a tribute to Radio Sarajevo, which was a center for the recording and preservation of Sevdah in the 20th century. The record is structured like a radio broadcast, where traditional melodies (Sevdalinkas) are combined with new compositions. The band's musical style merges Sevdah with elements of jazz, classical, folk, pop, and electronics. The new vocalist, Selma Droce, makes her debut on the album. The tracks also feature social commentary, including a parody of turbofolk and the band's first original Romani song dedicated to the Roma community. "Radio Sevdah" confirms Divanhana's status as one of the leading groups on the Balkan scene, successfully blending musical heritage with a modern sound.
