Elias Rønnenfelt, the frontman of the band Iceage, presents his new solo album, "Speak Daggers." The record is an evolution of his previous work, moving away from the folk-rock of his debut towards a denser, more experimental sound inspired by 90s indie music, the work of Yves Tumor, and bands like Primal Scream and Happy Mondays. The album was recorded in his bedroom and is characterized by a confident and obstinate nature. It features guest artists, including Erika de Casier, Fine, and The Congos, which adds diversity to the sound, incorporating elements from Britpop and the Madchester scene to glam and Jamaican motifs.
