Lil'Magic Sam - Tired Out (2025)

The next day he played with Bernard Allison as the opening act for Roy Rogers' concert and at the end of the evening Claude Nobs invited Sam to jam with BB King and Johnny Taylor & Malacco.

During the 90s, Sam creates his band. The Chicago "REAL CITY BLUES" is his reference and if Luther Allison remains his mentor, he develops his own style: "Chicago Heart & Soul Blues". A rough and mixed blues. Influenced very young by Jimi Hendrix, Little Walter, Freddie King, B.B.King, Luther Allison, James Cotton, Otis Redding, Stevie Ray Vaughan among others.

He plays at the Divan du monde, at the music festival in Sceaux and at the Rackam, toured in Greece, "Pollen” on France Inter ”Patrick Verbecke special" as a surprise guest.

At the end of March 97, he jammed with Luther Allison for the last time at the Petit Journal Montparnasse. Luther died a few months later during his American tour. “Show must go on and Blues too". With his band, Sam follows the first parts in another: at the drop of a hat he replaces Poppa Chubby (Creusot Festival) as the first part of Roy Rogers, Lucky Peterson (15th of the jazz nights in Noisy), Bernard Allison (Espace Carpeaux in Courbevoie, etc..), will headline Diana Krall in Tunisia at the (Tabarka Jazz Festival), JeanJacques Milteau The night of the blues in Romorantin etc…
