Wynn Osborne - Five String Magic (2025) [Hi-Res]

"Five String Magic" is the debut solo album by American bluegrass banjo player Wynn Osborne, released in 1980 on the CMH Records label. The album was recorded with his band, The Bluegrass Playboys. Wynn, the son of Bobby Osborne from the famous duo The Osborne Brothers, showcased his virtuosic five-string banjo playing on this record.

The album was produced by his uncle, Sonny Osborne, also a legendary banjo player. The album includes both traditional bluegrass compositions ("Dear Old Dixie," "Flint Hill Special") and unexpected instrumental arrangements of popular melodies, such as Henry Mancini's "Pink Panther Theme" and Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now."
