Soul Jazz Records Presents - SOUL JAMAICA (2025) [Hi-Res]

The Soul Jazz Records label has released the compilation ‘SOUL JAMAICA’, which features rare reggae-funk and soul compositions from Studio One. The album includes works by renowned artists such as Jackie Mittoo, The Heptones, and Peter Tosh. These tracks were recorded during the transitional period between rocksteady and roots reggae in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Most of them were originally released in limited quantities on the UK subsidiary label Bamboo, making them rarities. The album's artwork symbolizes Jamaica's cultural development after gaining independence, where reggae became a significant part of the national identity.
