The Chambers Brothers - Right Move (50th Anniversary Remaster) (2025) [Hi-Res]

The Chambers Brothers, a group of brothers from Mississippi, began by performing gospel and folk in the 1950s. They later developed an innovative sound combining funk, blues, gospel, and psychedelia, breaking racial and musical barriers. The addition of white drummer Brian Keenan made them an interracial group and shifted their sound towards rock & roll. Their greatest success came in 1968 with the album and the eponymous 11-minute psychedelic soul hit "Time Has Come Today." Although subsequent releases failed to replicate this commercial success, leading to a breakup in 1972, the group reunited two years later. They continued to perform regularly in the following decades while also pursuing individual projects and a family gospel choir.
