The band frostlake has announced the release of their fourth album, titled Shattered Stone, in 2025. The lineup features Jan Todd (singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist), Terry Todd (bass guitar, 12-string guitar), and new member, keyboard player Andy Peake. The album continues the tradition of British psychedelia and folk-rock, offering an eclectic, gently strange sound characterized by haunting melodies, sonic atmospheres, unusual instruments, and rich layering. The tone ranges from melancholic to hopeful, blending elegiac qualities with a driving bass and drums, with Jan Todd’s vocals either soaring above or cutting through the soundscape. Shattered Stone comprises 11 tracks—either Jan's solo compositions or collaborations with Terry and Andy—which collectively present a cohesive 'frostlake feel' soundscape reflecting shifting moods of personal reflections and observations.
