Substituting grunge for a more plaintive and refined piano arrangement, the album turns anthemic moshers like "Breed" and "Territorial Pissings" into subdued background music, stripping away the layers of guitars and monstrous drums until all that's left are the underlying pop harmonies that helped the band crossover from the underground to the mainstream.
