The Best Of The Weavers (1963) is a double compilation album released by Decca Records, which collected the key studio recordings of the group made during their initial commercial success, primarily between 1950–1951. The album is a collection of early hits recorded in an "uptown" style, accompanied by Gordon Jenkins and his Orchestra. It features the group's two major chart-topping singles: “Goodnight, Irene” and “Tzena, Tzena, Tzena,” along with other popular songs from that era, such as “Wimoweh” and “The Roving Kind.” The compilation covers the period before the group members were blacklisted during the McCarthy era.
