"The Long And Winding Road" by Joan Brooks (with Jack Long on side two) is an extremely rare original private press vinyl release on the Band n Vocal label (BVRS-1111). The recording features blind teenage Joan Brooks playing the organ, joined by a male vocalist on the second side. The compositions include cover versions of Beatles songs, such as "The Long And Winding Road" and "Fool On The Hill," noted for their sparse, "haunting" organ sound and unique vocals. Also included is a rendition of "The Letter," and the track "Proud Mary" with the male vocalist, described as having a "rock" sound. The album is being reissued by Numero Group in 2024/2025.
