Nancy Sinatra - Nancy (1969)

The album "Nancy" is Nancy Sinatra's sixth and final studio album released on Reprise Records in 1969. The release was recorded after Nancy's longtime producer and songwriter, Lee Hazlewood, unexpectedly moved to Sweden. The album, which marked a stylistic transition in her discography, was produced by arranger Billy Strange. The record includes interpretations of various genres, such as country-fried soul (a cover of «Son of a Preacher Man»), timeless ballads («Memories», written by Strange and Mac Davis), and a jazzy-orchestral arrangement of The Doors' «Light My Fire». The repertoire also featured songs dedicated to her parents: «My Dad (My Pa)» and «My Mother's Eyes». The album includes compositions by writers such as Mac Davis, Watty Willinghton, and Bob Lind.
