After the success of their 2023 viral hit, “Barefoot & Pregnant,” which amassed over 20 million views, Gwen Levey and The Breakdown returns with their forthcoming EP, 'Lighter’ (out October 24). Branching off from the country-rock sound of Gwen and her band’s two previous EPs, ‘Lighter’ fully explores Gwen’s musical roots. Produced in collaboration with her drummer, Marcus Davis, this project brings a fresh sonic direction that’s energized and deeply personal. The title track, “Lighter,” reflects Gwen’s evolution as both a survivor and a truth-teller. Fans will surely appreciate her upcoming release, which features an exciting variety of Gwen’s musical style, including captivating lyrics, heartfelt emotion, and a hopeful message for better days. 'Lighter' may evolve into a full-length album, with six songs already recorded and eight more in the works.
