VA - Refraction of Light II (2025)

Amniote Editions resurfaces with the HbA capsule, a dual release pairing the debut album from Hasvat Informant and his Intellagama moniker with a 21-track digital compilation, that coils through ambient, IDM, experimental, techno, trance and beyond.

Refraction of Light Vol. II gathers 21 artists linked by place yet divergent in expression, charting a fluid passage of moods, drifting from first light to nightfall.

The compilation’s framing draws from its title: like light refracting on the horizon of a long drive, it bends shifting sounds and perspectives into a shared vision shaped by distance, connection, and the landscapes in between.

In the same way, Amniote Editions’ capsules provide fertile ground for music to evolve — nurturing divergent practices, experimental forms, and cross-genre encounters. Refraction of Light Vol. II extends this lineage, binding artists through place and possibility, and echoing so-called Australia’s role as a cradle of creative life within its worldwide snakeweb.

10% of profits from this compilation will be donated to Palestine Australia Relief and Action (PARA) [para.org.au]. PARA help Palestinian migrants and refugees live safe, happy, and fulfilling lives in Australia.

Conceived on the land of the Gadigal peoples of the Eora Nation, the project acknowledges the traditional custodians of this country, paying respect to elders past and present, and recognising that sovereignty was never ceded.
