Louis Prima - The Wildest Show At Lake Tahoe (1957)

The album "The Wildest Show At Lake Tahoe" is the third consecutive classic live release by trumpeter and singer Louis Prima, his wife, vocalist Keely Smith, and the spirited R&B tenor-saxophonist Sam Butera with The Witnesses. Recorded live at Lake Tahoe, the recording is as exciting as the lineup's previous two albums. The program features four medleys, such as "On the Sunny Side of the Street/Exactly Like You," a feature song for Keely Smith, "A Foggy Day," an instrumental showcase for Sam Butera, "Come Back to Sorrento," and an extroverted rendition of "How High the Moon" by trombonist Little Red Blount, in addition to several vocal duets. All three Capitol Records albums are highly recommended as they document the unique group at the height of its power.
