Sian - araon (2025)

The Gaelic vocal trio Sian has announced their second studio album, Araon, which is preceded by the release of the single “Seo a’ Bhliadhna.” This leading track is a traditional Gaelic lament rooted in the musical heritage of the Isle of Skye and Raasay, exploring themes of love and sorrow, as the composer mourns the tragic loss of her siblings and beloved. The song, which features guest musicians James Lindsay and Charlie Stewart, reflects deep emotional weight that was carefully honored in its arrangement, according to vocalist Eilidh Cormack. The album Araon was co-produced by Sian member Innes White and Innes Strachan. The trio consists of vocalists Ceitlin Lilidh, Eilidh Cormack, and Ellen MacDonald, alongside multi-instrumentalist Innes White.
