On his new self-titled album, Jacob Faurholt strips everything down to the bone, offering an intimate portrait of existential dread, inner turmoil, and fragile love. Crafted in the quiet corners of his home studio, the album features eight new songs that range from delicate lo-fi folk to a
few distorted, drum-driven tracks. It also includes ethereal vocal contributions from his wife, Nadia, adding a tender thread to the album’s emotional landscape.

Jacob Faurholt made his first recordings back in 1998 in his childhood room, using a cheap microphone hanging from the ceiling. Since then, he has released 12 solo albums, several albums with his experimental project Crystal Shipsss, and one record with Danish lyrics under the moniker Statisk Støj. He has toured Germany, France, Portugal, and the U.S. West Coast, and has supported artists such as Dean Johnson, Car Seat Headrest, and The Black Heart Procession. Faurholt lives in Horsens, Denmark, with his wife and two children, and works a day job as a teacher.
