Gerrit's guitar work has certainly not gone unnoticed in the Benelux. Readers of Gitarist magazine voted him the No. 7 of best Blues(rock)guitarists in 2a221 2023./ n 2023/2024 Gerrit rose again with a dot on that same list to the 4" Place.
Over the years, Gerrit has played an important role in various formations. The Prodigal Sons, the Veldman Brothers to name a few, but touring with Darrell Mansfield is also one of the achievements.

The common thread has always been the Blues & Roots. Gerrit knows how to convey this in an inimitable way with his great blues voice and virtuoso guitar playing. Gerrit always knows how to surround himself with top musicians who understand each other both personally and musically. Hear, see and notice themduring the performances. After a” sabbatical “of 2 years, the Blues blood crawls where it can not go and it is time to dive into the Blues world again with a new album called” Shifting Gears", which will be released on October 17. On October 16 there will be a pre-release gig in Hedon in Zwolle where this album will be presented.
