Saodaj' - Lodèr la vi (2025)

"Lodèr la vi" is the second studio album by the Réunion-based band Saodaj', scheduled for release in November 2025 under the Buda Musique label. The album reflects a synthesis of the traditional Réunion style Maloya and contemporary musical directions, including elements of alternative rock and jazz. The lyrics, performed in Creole and French, address social and philosophical themes, expressing both indignation about injustice and the search for beauty in a complex world. The musical arrangement is characterized by a combination of saturated, sometimes rocky string arrangements and complex, percussive polyrhythms. The band consists of six musicians.
