Electric Cattle Gods – The Lost Tracks is a compilation of rare and previously unreleased recordings by the American alternative rock band Sponge. Released by Cleopatra Records, the album offers a rare glimpse into the very early stages of the band's career when their working name was Electric Cattle Gods. The collection features 11 demo and rehearsal recordings, some of which were later re-recorded for their platinum-selling 1994 debut album Rotting Piñata, notably an early demo version of their breakout hit "Molly (16 Candles)". Furthermore, the release includes two brand-new, recently recorded compositions, including the single "Wet Brain". The album captures the raw, deliberate, and energetic post-grunge sound of the early 1990s.
