Men Without Hats - On the Moon (2025)

Writing and recording “Men Without Hats On the Moon” was different in that it was divided into 2 unique sessions. The first was a two week stay in the Comox valley on Vancouver Island at Brian Howe’s studio where he and I collaborated on the tracks “I Love the ‘80s” and “In Glorious Days”. Working together on those amazing tracks in that beautiful setting was incredible. Topped off with a visit from Sahara to add her vocals that really help make those tracks shine!

The second session was in Victoria, B.C. with my long-time producer, engineer, guitar player and friend Sho Murray. This session was recorded in my studio on the ocean in Victoria. Here we really wanted to capture the more intimate essence of the songs “If You Try”, "Run Away“, “Love me Tomorrow", and “A Cause De Toi”. I believe we more than accomplished our goal and sonically managed to keep a cohesive sound and feel throughout. To round out the album, a bit of a surprise I’ve added one of my favorite John Lennon songs that I’ve always wanted to record, "Jealous Guy".

Creating this project from top to bottom was a real ON THE MOON experience. I truly hope our fans enjoy it!
