After completing a highly successful UK tour in August this year, The Dead Daisies played their final show of the tour and year at Stonedead, one of the most successful festivals on the Rock circuit currently and based in Newark, England. This festival sells out before a band is even announced, which in this day and age is pretty phenomenal.

The Daisies were on late in the evening playing to a packed audience who could not get enough of their big songs and even louder riffs. Doug Aldrich was in his element making guitar shapes all night while John Corabi happily led the crowd on a journey of both great originals like ‘Long Way to Go’ and ‘Rise Up’, along with a set full of covers that the band have made their own over the past few years, like ‘Midnight Moses’ originally by the Sensational Alex Harvey Band!

With a solid bone crunching rhythm section that included the late great Ozzy Osbourne’s drummer Tommy Clufetos, the former Whitesnake man Michael Devin pinning down the bottom end on the bass and the Thunder from Down Under, David Lowy on rhythm guitar, the set sounded massive and the loud crowd cheers were the mark of approval.
