Confession, Gabriel Zucker's sixth studio album, is urgently emotional music for disconnected times. The composition, written primarily during the height of the pandemic in New Mexico, is a profound reflection on what it means to know another person and is unified into one continuous, 59-minute work spanning four acts. The music alternately combines ethereal and bombastic, electronic and acoustic, vocal and instrumental elements. The record features a roster of the finest and most creative musicians from New York's experimental, jazz, and indie scenes, and utilizes a unique and protean production style.
