Orbital Ensemble - Live at Gold Standard (Live) (2025) [Hi-Res]

The musical group Orbital Ensemble has released the six-track EP Live at Gold Standard, which was recorded live at Gold Standard Recorders and showcases the dynamic interplay of their full Toronto-based lineup, including bandleader Felipe Sena. The recording features an expanded sonic palette, notably the use of vibraphone, which adds a luminous, airy dimension to the group's "neotropical psychedelic" sound. The EP includes live reinterpretations of four key tracks from their previous album Orbital ("Daydreams," "Espelho do Sol," "Brasa," "Transe"), as well as the debut of two new compositions—"Deusas" and "Invocada"—both slated for their next full-length album in 2026. Live at GS serves as a bridge, demonstrating the project's evolution from Felipe Sena's studio-driven work into a fully collaborative ensemble, and clearly outlining the future direction of their experimenting and expanding sound.
