This album has been a labour of love for over two years and includes collaborations with John's dear friends from his long career, resulting in a collection of inspiring and moving tracks. Among the highlights, longtime friend Lawrence Gowan (Gowan, STYX) joins forces on Along the Merry Road to Hell a song from their shared roots in Glasgow - Irish uilleann pipes legend Davy Spillane (Moving Hearts, Titanic) lends his talents to two tracks, truly setting the tone of the album - Mickey McConnell (Only Our Rivers Run Free) contributes Supermarket Wine which tells a soulful tale of unrequited love.
