Drill for Absentee - Strand of A Lake, Volume. 1 and Volume. 2 (2025) [Hi-Res]

The late 90's emo/math-rock pioneers, the band Drill For Absentee, return with their first new material in 25 years—the album "Strand Of A Lake," which combines two EPs (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2). The band reformed in 2021, and for the material, members Michael Nace and Kevin Kelly collaborated with new drummer Ken Kuniyoshi from Okinawa as part of a fully remote recording process that took place in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Okinawa. The new material, written with Kuniyoshi, continues their classic sound, which should delight both old and new fans of the math-rock genre. Vol. 1 was digitally released in September 2022, and the joint vinyl release of both volumes is scheduled for October 24, 2025, supported by Expert Work Records. Mixing was handled by Kevin Kelly, and mastering by Dan Coutant.
