Christian Sievert & Jukka Tolonen - After Three Days (2015)

A completely unknown and therefore even more attractive release from these masters! A collaboration between Danish flamenco guitarist Christian Sivert and Finnish virtuoso Jukka Tolonen featuring renowned bassist Mads Winding and a lesser-known Brazilian drummer. A mix of flamenco, samba and jazz rock of the highest quality. Flamenco guitar tunes celebrate the beauty of Andalusia rather than Copenhagen, where this work was recorded, so the authentic Spanish spirit is felt everywhere here. More acoustics than electricity, however, on Tolonen's own composition Spanish Blues, the maestro could not resist and plunged into the scattering of electric guitars, paying tribute to his skill, accompanied by bossa nova. The strongest 11-minute epic and generally one of the best things in the history of Tolonen. The rest of the material is quieter and mostly acoustic, with clear hints of what Tolonen will do later, but the flamenco guitar still attracts attention. It is definitely worth reading and looking for this job. Highly, highly recommended! The album was re-released on CD in Denmark in 2015, but the CD is already split, apparently.
