Antonio Piluso - Amara (2025) Hi-Res

The project consists of seven original tracks written by the leader himself, ranging from jazz to ethnic music, from rock to fusion, in a climate of “tension and chaos” constantly searching for a state of calm that seems unattainable.

The project will be officially presented in concert on Friday, 28 November, the same day as the release, at 9 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Vizzini (CT).

‘Amara’ was born in May 2024 with the desire to recount, historically and emotionally, the land where I was born, Sicily. A single, very particular word, which in the plural evokes two extreme and opposing emotions (to love), a verb and adjective perfect for describing the contrasting images I wanted to put into notes. Between traditional, ethnic, jazz, rock and fusion music, “Amara” is tension and chaos, which do not always find resolution, a perfect metaphor, unfortunately, for the daily life of us Sicilians.” Antonio Piluso
