It’s always extremely refreshing when you encounter someone who is living life using all their talents, as well as simply rejoicing in the great gift of life. This can ultimately lead to an almost perfect state of existence. . .or what we might consider “paradise.”
As well as being an internationally acclaimed musician and composer, Bill is also an award-winning journalist. In 2018, he retired from the anchor desk after 34 years at WRAL-TV.
During his journalistic career, Bill has won more than 70 major news awards including two Peabody Awards, considered the Pulitzer Prize of broadcasting, along with six Emmys. As well, in 2018, Bill won the prestigious North Carolina Award for his work as a both a musician and journalist.
Famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma called Mr. Leslie “one of the greats in modern Celtic music.” I have to totally agree with that assessment. This is an exceptionally beautiful album, one of the best I’ve heard all year.
