Middlemist Red - As If You Could Mess This Up EP (2013)

The band was formed at the end of 2012, their music is fueled by the psychedelic primal power and beat of the heroic sixties, their single As If You Could Mess This Up was released in November 2013. The vintage sound heard on the middle album is thanks to the contribution of István Beke, the keyboard player of Ivan & The Parazol, the band recorded their album in a wooden house on amplifiers he made, which was described by music blogs as one of the strongest Hungarian debuts of the year after its release. The Budapest formation presented their single at Gödör Klub in November, and since then the doors of all the clubs in the capital have been opened to them. In February 2014, they reached the final of the Index alternative song contest A Szám, and won it with a large number of votes with their song Single Switcheroo. Thanks to the victory, the band was able to perform at Sziget after their thirteenth concert, and they were also able to perform as the opening act for the American Black Lips at the Akvárium club.
