Johanna Suvenmetsä is a versatile flutist, poet, reciter & artist living in Helsinki. She graduated with a Master of Music from the Sibelius Academy in 2015 and has since then regularly organized concerts combining art music, poetry and improvisation. Suvenmetsä has performed in Finland as well as abroad, including in Germany and Italy.
Suvenmetsä has written poems since childhood,
and poetry is the closest art form to her, along with music. She is known as a unique, creative
and bright artist who strives for courage, authenticity and depth in her expression.
Johanna Suvenmetsä has published two works of poetry.
In addition, her poetry has been translated into Estonian, among others, in the art book Sisekosmos by photographer Kaupo Kikkas (Fotografiska Tallinn, 2022).
Suvenmetsä regularly performs as an orchestral and chamber musician, and has extensive experience in artistic planning for concerts, poetry events and festivals. His new solo album "Mindscapes" was released in November 2025 on the Pilfink label.
