Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of her solo debut, and Akiko Yano, whose career has grown from strength to strength, will once again be performing at Blue Note Tokyo this summer with her golden trio, Will Lee and Chris Parker. This performance, a beloved summer tradition at the live house, will feature a triumvirate of Will Lee, known for his work with David Sanborn and Steely Dan, and Chris Parker, formerly of the legendary group "Stuff." They delivered a stunning performance that appealed to a wide range of fans, including their signature songs "Gohan ga Dekitayo," "Hitotsu Dake," and "Ramen Tabetai," as well as covers of songs from the films "Godzilla" and "Mothra no Uta," Yellow Magic Orchestra's signature songs "Rydeen" and "Tong Poo," and Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Thousand Knives."
