Darrell Scott featuring The Scott Brothers: DENNY - DALE - DON - DAVID. I grew up on 2 musics as a kid: straight up country music of the AM dial from the 60s & 70s and gospel music from my southern baptist up bringing - by age 16 i had jumped over to a steady diet of singer-songwriters, jazz, rock and blues and eventually bluegrass tinges (and beyond).
yet, making an album in the last 2 years with my 3 remaining brothers, dale, don and david: THE SCOTT BROTHERS, i wanted to lean into the gospel music of our past; and really, dedicate an entire record to our oldest brother: denny scott, who passed in 2021 - he was the "musical" leader from our childhood and spent the last 50 years of his life writing and playing, strictly, gospel music...this one's for him.
