La-La Land Records and MGM proudly present the restored and remastered re-issue of legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith’s original motion picture score to the 1985 big-screen action-adventure KING SOLOMON’S MINES starring Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone, and directed by J. Lee Thompson. This limited edition 2-CD set marks the 40th Anniversary of the film and its brilliant score, which has been meticulously restored, re-edited and re-mastered to shine like never before!

Bold, rousing and propulsive, Jerry Goldsmith’s original KING SOLOMON’S MINES score is an orchestral wonder in the grand cinematic adventure tradition. Heroics, romance, high-stakes drama and suspense – Goldsmith delivers big on all of it, all the while retaining his unique artistry and flourish.

Previous CD releases of this score have presented the music out of pitch – either too fast or too slow. This reissue finally corrects the issue, presenting the music in perfect pitch on disc for the very first time. Produced by Neil S. Bulk and mastered by Mike Matessino, this reissue boasts positively revelatory sound, with Disc One featuring the film’s “Score Presentation,” painstakingly edited to match the takes, where available, selected by Goldsmith and music editor Ken Hall, and Disc Two containing the “Original Soundtrack Album” and “Additional Tracks.”
