Nate Amos, known for the projects This Is Lorelei and Water From Your Eyes, has released Holo Boy under his This Is Lorelei moniker. The release is neither a conventional new album nor a compilation, but rather a re-imagining of the album format. Holo Boy features 10 heartening and tuneful songs selected from This Is Lorelei's extensive back catalog (spanning nine releases from 2014–2021) and re-recorded in May 2025. The intent was to encourage new fans to explore the discography and revisit personally significant older tracks. Amos consciously avoided a "best-of" approach, opting for songs that hold special meaning to him. The album, characterized by a summery acoustic sound, was recorded quickly and instinctively in his apartment to honor the informal spirit of the original Bandcamp releases and document the current sound of This Is Lorelei.
