Silvestre Revueltas (1899–1940) was a foundational Mexican composer whose newly rediscovered early piano works reveal that he began composing in his teens, long before his celebrated orchestral masterpieces. These world-premiere recordings - 24 short pieces and a two-movement Sonatina—trace Revueltas’s development from late Romantic influences toward the bold modernism that defined his later style.
