Micki Free is a powerful singer and guitar player descending from American Indian people, who has been drawn to the blues. A Grammy winner, he has also received other awards that make him a leading figure in today’s rock/blues scene.

Micki releases a new album that presents a wide variety of styles, from the most incendiary and passionate blues to funk or some Native American rhythms performed with the Cherokee and Comanche people traditional flute, on a mixture between American Indian music and rock.

Along his career he has performed various musical styles such as rock or pop and has recorded with great musicians like Santana, Janet Jackson, Kiss, Little Steven Van Zandt, Aerosmith, Neil Young or Bill Whitman. That gives you an idea of the versatility of an artist who, besides performing blues and rock, leads different campaigns and programs to bring the American Indian music to large audiences.

The album only gathers six songs that serve to get an idea of all the things he can offer in his music. Besides, he has counted with the collaboration of three musicians of Carlos Santana’s band, Ray Greene on vocals, Benny Rietveid on bass and Cindy Blackman Santana on drums, along with himself on vocals, guitars and flute, as well as the rest of the musicians who surround him.
