King Owusu, Pachakuti, young.vishnu - Siamo (2025) [Hi-Res]

The Siamo EP serves as a follow-up to the project Jardín by King Owusu, Pachakuti, and young.vishnu, emerging from the European jazz underground. This new release features a bolder, rhythmically assured, and outwardly focused sound, fusing Afro soul, Latin and Caribbean grooves, Jazz, and Hip hop. While its predecessor was introspective, Siamo broadens the scope, conceptually shifting from a "garden" to a "landscape." Performed in English, Yoruba, Ga, and Spanish, the work highlights its multicultural nature. Featuring contributions from Berlin-based musicians and "The New Love Experience" collective, the album explores themes of community and presence, transforming a meditative singular perspective into a collective consciousness. The work rejects the "world music" label in favor of a contemporary cultural dialogue where lineage and modernity coexist.
