The project From The Land Of Ice And Snow: The Songs Of Led Zeppelin originated as a spontaneous idea by Rob (Jealous Butcher), Matt Ward, and John King. This extensive tribute album took six years to complete and required significant production effort. Unlike commercial star-studded compilations, the release was conceived as a community initiative uniting friends and like-minded artists regardless of their status or professional credentials. The primary selection criterion was the quality of the material.
