The project 400 Lonely Things presents two interconnected albums, "Creature Comforts" and "Why I Went To The Woods," conceived as visceral emotional responses to the 2024 US National Election and global entropy. The music blends psychoactive melancholia, hauntology, and psychedelic folk aesthetics. Central to the release is the concept of "Dark New Age for a New Dark Age," utilizing 1970s analog synths, vintage samples, and nature sounds to construct atmosphere of false pastoral memories. Completed in September 2025, the work represents a deliberate retreat from the present into fictionalized landscapes of the British countryside and mystical wilderness, merging blissful elation with a haunting sense of bereavement.
